Since appearing as a guest MC on DJ Harry Love’s first ever release ‘Ill Lyrical Behaviour’ some 12 years ago I'm definitely recognised more as a DJ, radio broadcaster and for some of the behind the scenes stuff I am involved in.

To say a release of some sort of original music is overdue is beyond an understatement.

I am fully aware that my debut release may be the only project that is taking longer than ‘Detox’. 2012 is the year that I seriously picked up the pen again and I am now back in the lab in the process of completing a mixtape and an EP.

I'll be playing a set ahead legend and fellow Bajan Grandmaster Flash at this event.

Up On The Roof takes place atop the Brixton Club House and being that it will be May if it is warm to sunny not much more has to be said about how dope this will be.

Tickets are on sale now from residentadvisor at a mere £13.50 (£12.00 + £1.50 Booking Fee)

Peep the facebook event page for more info.

Last night the distinctive bald headed embodiment of some of the grimiest music this planet has ever heard descended on Camden's Jazz Cafe. OnyxSticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr returned to the UK some 20 years after they burst onto the scene and bought together all walks of life as their music sparked a trend of hip hop mosh pits.

This track is something I expect to put on the mix tape. It is a track I had wanted to do for ages and even enjoyed seeing noses turn up at the idea or concept whenever I spoke about it. Some may remember Yeah by Chima Anya produced by and featuring Astro Snare and myself from Blunted's 'Local Music For Local Heads Vol.2' a track which received a lot of love and stood out from the crowd locally but in some instances pointed out how good we were or could be at the time of release.

It feels right and also makes total sense for this to be the first post on my new site being as the focus for the coming months will be music and me.

My brother and partner in rhyme from way back Tiamat is looking like he'll drop a new project in 2012. Being that we aren’t kids any more we had spoken on the phone about music (like you do) trying to put the world to rights and being parents. There were times when I wondered that although I honestly feel like we have a high standard in terms of where we are at and where we could go in this business, if this rap s**t really is no place for old men?

So imagine (and that is possibly all you can do) how good it felt on the day when I finally got back in the lab with not just Tiamat but also Sonorous to put this down.

This one is for the ladies... Produced by Ben'Jamin out of New Zealand.
